Dr. Ryan Schwanke, DPM

 

Dr. Schwanke is a podiatric surgeon who specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery including total ankle replacements, traumatology, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Schwanke sees patients of all ages.

Dr. Schwanke was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate education at Marquette University in Milwaukee, where he majored in biological sciences. He then attended podiatric medical school at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.

Following podiatric medical school, Dr. Schwanke completed three years of rigorous surgical residency training at one of the top residencies in the country, Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. During his training, he completed more than 1,600 foot and ankle surgical procedures. During this time, he lectured at several academic conferences for major medical associations including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the International Foot and Ankle Foundation, and the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association.

In his free time, Dr. Schwanke enjoys staying active by exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest through hiking and biking with his girlfriend and dog, Popcorn.
